Our plan
What we are for
Six areas. Real numbers. Written so you can hold us to them.
It is easier to campaign than to govern. Kenyans are fighting for survival. We must be clear about what we will deliver.
Our mission
To empower the people of Kenya through inclusive governance, equitable development and leadership that upholds justice, integrity and opportunity for all.
Principles
- Equity and social justice
- Democracy and the rule of law
- People centred development
- Transparency and accountability
- Unity in diversity
Core values
Elimu
Free education
We have done it in Kiharu. It can be done in Kenya.
- Fees and meals paid for all 3.5 million learners in senior secondary.
- It costs an extra KSh 35 billion a year.
- KSh 10 billion from NG-CDF, KSh 10 billion from the counties, KSh 15 billion from national government.
- No new taxes. We reorganise money that already exists.
- Bring ECD teachers under TSC or a body like it.
- One employer for hiring, transfers and pay.
- A national voice when they raise their welfare.
- Diversify school menus so schools buy from farmers around them.
- Every school becomes a market for its village.
Afya
Health without ruin
No family should be reduced to begging by a hospital bill.
- Cut what Kenyans pay into pension contributions by half.
- That half moves into healthcare, adding about KSh 40 billion a year.
- Enough to cover emergencies and chronic illness properly.
- Upgrade our own hospitals so Kenyans stop flying to India for treatment.
- Serve patients from the wider region and earn from it.
- The system stays owned by the government of Kenya.
- A national commission to manage doctors and health workers.
- A doctor who marries and moves county should not have to resign and start again.
- Harmonised pay, easier transfers, fairer staffing.
Kazi
Work for the young
Too many Kenyans have gone to school and cannot find work.
- Liberalise the power sector properly, not in words only.
- A factory with extra power should be free to sell it to the factory next door.
- More producers means lower prices.
- Manufacturing is how Singapore, Korea and China grew.
- A deliberate manufacturing policy, targeting the goods Kenya can actually make.
- Kenya had about 2.7 million visitors last year. Morocco had 19 million.
- Our target is 10 million visitors.
- That is about 3 million direct jobs, and more in transport and farming.
- Over 40 banks in Kenya, and all of them make money.
- Keep that industry in Kenyan hands.
- Grow banks big enough to compete across Africa and bring money home.
Kilimo
Farming that pays
Seven in ten rural Kenyans farm, but the yields are too low.
- Subsidised certified seed alongside fertiliser.
- Fertiliser alone cannot fix low productivity.
- Affordable pesticides and other inputs.
- Kenya is about three months from importing maize.
- Raise both production and productivity, not one or the other.
- Move into speciality so our crop fetches a better price.
- Better marketing, and better markets.
- Farmers paid properly and paid on time.
Uadilifu
Honest government
No leader should leave office richer than the one they replaced.
- Criminalise proxy investments.
- Anyone seeking the presidency lists every asset on entry and on exit.
- No assets transferred to a former leader or their people for 25 years.
- When one family controls a market, every Kenyan pays for it.
- Cement cost about KSh 550 a bag in 2022. It is over 50 percent higher now.
- Public contracts belong to the public, not to whoever is close to power.
- Double the capacity of the judiciary within five years.
- Guarantee the judiciary at least 1.5 percent of national revenue each year.
Madeni
Debt and what is ours
A child born today already owes KSh 228,000.
- Our minerals are the way out of this debt.
- That is exactly why they must be guarded.
- Mrima Hill and the rest belong to Kenyans, not to individuals.
- Hold state assets in one company that Kenyans can own shares in.
- Government keeps 51 percent. The rest lists on the exchange.
- Better that Kenyans own these assets than that they are handed out as favours.
