Our Manifesto

Home Back

The Peoples Party of Kenya (PPK) firmly believes that Kenya's rich cultural and religious diversity is a strength, not a barrier. We are committed to fostering a society where every culture and faith is respected, protected, and empowered to contribute to national development. At the same time, we uphold democracy, justice, and human rights as the cornerstones of good governance and inclusive leadership.

1. Preservation and Promotion of Culture

PPK will invest in cultural preservation by:

  • Establishing cultural centers across counties to preserve, document, and showcase Kenya’s diverse traditions, languages, and heritage.
  • Supporting local artisans, musicians, storytellers, and performers as custodians of community identity.
  • Marketing Kenya’s cultural heritage nationally and globally to boost tourism and pride in identity.

2. Celebrating National Cultural Days

We will lobby for the formal recognition and celebration of cultural days to promote unity in diversity. These events will celebrate Kenya’s various ethnic groups and foster peaceful coexistence through music, cuisine, storytelling, and exhibitions.

3. Protection of Religious Freedom and Pluralism

PPK stands for freedom of belief and worship as a constitutional right. We will:

  • Promote peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among religious groups.
  • Defend places of worship and religious institutions from discrimination or marginalization.
  • Encourage interfaith dialogue on national values and unity.

4. Promotion of Democratic Values and Governance

In tandem with cultural freedom, PPK upholds democracy, social justice, and human rights. We are committed to:

  • Internal party democracy through transparent elections and inclusive processes.
  • Building democratic institutions that reflect the will of the people and are accountable to them.
  • Encouraging citizen participation at every level of decision-making.

5. Civic Education and Civil Society Collaboration

We will work with civil society, educators, and grassroots organizations to:

  • Promote civic education, especially among youth and rural populations.
  • Strengthen participatory democracy by ensuring citizens understand their rights, responsibilities, and how to engage government structures.
  • Lobby for equitable public resource distribution, ensuring all regions and communities benefit fairly from national development.

Our Vision

A united Kenya that celebrates its cultural and religious richness while upholding democracy, justice, and equal opportunity for all.
