Our Manifesto

Home Back

At the Peoples Party of Kenya (PPK), we believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Our health policy aims to create an inclusive, responsive, and equitable system that ensures every Kenyan, regardless of income or location, can access quality medical services when they need them.

1. Universal and Affordable Healthcare

We are dedicated to ensuring that no Kenyan is denied medical care due to cost. PPK supports the full implementation and enhancement of Kenya’s new universal health coverage system, including the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF). We aim to:

  • Expand health coverage to all citizens, especially vulnerable groups.
  • Support mechanisms that protect families from catastrophic health expenses.
  • Promote awareness and accessibility of the new national health financing schemes.

2. Training and Empowerment of Medical Personnel

PPK recognizes that a strong healthcare system depends on skilled and motivated professionals. We will:

  • Provide regular training and professional development for doctors, nurses, and health workers.
  • Ensure fair compensation and better working conditions.
  • Deploy health workers equitably across all counties, especially in underserved regions.

3. Medical Infrastructure Development

To meet the needs of a growing population, we will:

  • Build and modernize hospitals, clinics, and health centers in both urban and rural areas.
  • Equip facilities with modern diagnostic tools and essential medical equipment.
  • Strengthen the supply chain for medicines and critical supplies through accountable systems.

4. Inclusive and Responsive Health Policy

PPK will lead in shaping policies that are informed by community needs and health equity. This includes:

  • Tailoring services to address maternal health, chronic diseases, youth health, and mental health.
  • Integrating traditional and modern healthcare where appropriate.
  • Supporting preventive healthcare and public health campaigns.

5. Strategic Partnerships and Global Collaboration

To expand resources and expertise, we will:

  • Collaborate with international development partners, NGOs, and private sector players.
  • Support research, innovation, and digital health systems.
  • Strengthen Kenya’s capacity to manage health emergencies and pandemics.

Our Vision

A Kenya where every citizen can access timely, respectful, and effective healthcare — powered by a just and sustainable health system.
