The Peoples Party of Kenya (PPK) understands that a healthy environment is the foundation of sustainable development and national well-being. Our environmental policy is anchored in the belief that economic growth and environmental conservation must go hand in hand to ensure a livable future for generations to come.

1.Environmentally-Friendly Policy Framework

PPK will develop and implement progressive environmental policies that promote sustainable ecological balance, protect Kenya�s natural resources, and align with global environmental standards. These policies will encourage responsible land use, waste management, and pollution control.

2. Green Industrial Practices

We will work closely with the private sector by offering incentives to industries that adopt clean and eco-friendly production methods. This includes supporting technologies that reduce emissions, conserve energy, and eliminate industrial waste that harms ecosystems.

3.River Rehabilitation and Clean-up Programs

Recognizing the importance of clean water sources, PPK will initiate a nationwide river restoration programme to clean polluted rivers, enforce anti-dumping laws, and involve local communities in long-term conservation efforts.

4.Alternative Energy Solutions

To combat deforestation and reduce reliance on unsustainable energy sources, PPK will promote the use of renewable energy such as solar, wind, and biogas. We will support affordable access to clean energy, especially in rural and marginalized communities.

5. Afforestation and Reforestation Initiatives

We are committed to reversing environmental degradation by launching massive afforestation programmes, especially in arid and semi-arid regions. These initiatives will include tree planting drives, community green projects, and school-based environmental clubs to instill a culture of conservation.
