The Peoples Party of Kenya (PPK) believes that a just and
prosperous nation must be built on a foundation of strong moral values and
ethical behavior. We recognize that social decay, corruption, drug abuse,
and moral indifference pose serious threats to the nation's cohesion,
development, and youth. Therefore, PPK is committed to restoring ethical
consciousness across all sectors of society through education, civic
engagement, and collaboration with religious and cultural institutions.
1. Moral Education in
Schools
PPK will spearhead the development and implementation of a national
syllabus that emphasizes social ethics, personal responsibility, and
citizenship. Moral instruction will be integrated into both primary and
secondary education to nurture future leaders who value integrity and
community.
2. Regulation of Harmful
Content
To protect children and youth from harmful influences, PPK will:
- Strengthen
laws and enforcement around censorship of pornographic and
indecent content on media platforms.
- Promote
safe and responsible use of digital technologies through national
campaigns and parental education.
3. Civic Engagement Through
Moral Education
We will organize workshops, seminars, and community forums to
promote ethical awareness and dialogue around national values. These platforms
will target schools, workplaces, local communities, and political spaces.
4. Combating Drug and Substance
Abuse
PPK recognizes the widespread impact of drugs on families and the
economy. We will:
- Strengthen
anti-drug campaigns through awareness,
rehabilitation support, and tighter enforcement on trafficking.
- Collaborate
with youth groups, law enforcement, and health services to address root
causes and reintegrate recovering individuals into society.
5. Upholding Moral
Standards in Leadership
Leadership must set the tone for ethical behavior. PPK will:
- Advocate
for higher moral standards among elected leaders
and public servants.
- Introduce
character-based criteria in the party’s vetting of candidates and
appointments.
6. Partnership with
Faith-Based Institutions
We will work in close partnership with churches, mosques, temples,
and other religious bodies to promote peace, morality, and service to
community. These institutions will play a vital role in mentorship, value
formation, and social outreach.
